While Asus and Gigabyte announced their P35 chipset motherboards some time ago , MSI waited for official date to present P35 Platinum.
Today the manufacturer
reveled Intel P35 specifications. The low end P35 Neo-F, an ATX motherboard supporting Intel Core 2 dual processors with FSB1333 and
provided with two PCI ports, two 1x PCI-Express connectors and
one 16x PCI-Express slot. 4 DDR2 memory slots, the
motherborad is equipped with 8 audio channels Realtek ALC888 and adopts a passive cooling. It has 5 Serial-ATA ports
and 1 IDE connector , in addition to Gigabit ethernet integrated Lan connector.
MSI declines this motherboard in P35 Neo Combo-F version. Taking again
the same characteristics as P35 Neo-F, including passive cooling, the
motherboard differs with 2 DDR2 and 2 DDR3 memory slots. It support DDR3-800 and DDR3-1066 modes while DDR2 is limted only to DDR2-667 and DDR2-800.
Finally the high end P35 Platinum, ATX motherboard equipped with cooling system Circu-pipe.
With 2 FireWire ports and 8 audio channels Realtek ALC888, 2 16x PCI-Express connectors, the second working in
4x mode, in addition to 2 PCI and 1x PCI-Express ports. With DDR2-800 and Gigabit Lan controller, P35 Platinum support Intel Core 2
dual and quad processors, in particular. IDE and Serial-ATA,
always with 5 ports, 2 eSATA connectors .
MSI announces a public price 140$ for P35 Neo-F, 150$ for
