A week ago, about their success in the third quarter, reported Western Digital (WD) company , today Seagate Technology company  second-largest supplier of hard drive manufacturer published its report  . For the reporting period Seagate company had $ 3.7 billion of revenue.  Gross profit characterizing profitability, was 28.4%.  Profit for the three months - 582 million dollars. WD: revenue - $ 4.0 billion, profit - 519 million dollars. In the previous quarter, Seagate managed a profit of $ 4.5 billion Gross margin was 33.1%, net profit - $ 1 billion In the second quarter 2012 WD owned 45% of the market, Seagate - 42%, Toshiba - 13%.  Statistics for the third quarter will be published in the near future.
