In a review of Intel 335 drive staff calculated the number of write cycles that can withstand such drives. Based on the index MWI, sewn in the microcode storage, the authors have received no more than 1000 times. However, Intel representatives intervened and explained that in the microcode of the test sample there was an erroneous MWI, which is used in the calculations. In fact, the 20-nm MLC memory type is capable of withstanding at least 3000 times overwrite. If you take the drive capacity of 240 GB, it is able to sustain 500 terabytes, or 2083 full cycles of rewriting. Even if you record 240 GB of data each day, the drive will last for 5.7 years.
For 335 Drive Series, Intel will release a firmware update that fixes the problem with incorrect display of MWI values. Directly the current firmware does not affect the longevity. Drives series 330 in the current firmware version can not display all the parameter MWI , so this problem will be fixed in the December firmware update.
