AMD officially introduced graphics accelerator Radeon HD 8970M, which become the high end line of mobile digital solutions of the company and, according to the compilers of the press release, the fastest card in its class. The GPU is based on microarchitecture GCN, numbering 1,280 stream processors clocked at 900 MHz, taking into account the mechanisms of automatic overclocking.  Performance of graphics card is up to 2304 GFLOPS single precision and 144 gigaflops with double precision. AMD also expressed support for the API DirectX 11.1, power management technology Enduro, opportunities to display an image on multiple external monitors in the Eyefinity technology and functions App Acceleration, with which the graphics accelerator can take part of general-purpose computation, unloading the CPU.  One of the first laptops where Radeon HD 8970M will be used , MSI GX70. The price of this mobile computer starts at $ 1,100. Related Products : | ||
