As planned , USB 3.0 Promoter Group announced the completion of USB 3.1 specification, which is standardized data transfer rate 10 Gbit / s. This is double the maximum speed of the interface SuperSpeed USB, from the specification USB 3.0. The new version of the document, which opens the way to devices with support for SuperSpeed USB interface 10 Gb / s, is now available for download by industry body USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF).
SuperSpeed USB 10 Gb / s use more sophisticated data encryption, thus improving the efficiency of data exchange, it use new connectors and cables that have retained their predecessors full backward compatibility. In other words, the device with the new version of the interface will be able to seamlessly communicate with devices that comply with the USB 3.0 (with a top speed of 5 Gb / s) and USB 2.0.
To speed up the introduction of USB 3.1, USB-IF plans this year to hold event for developers. In the United States Conference USB 3.1 Developers Day will be held on August 21 in Europe - October 1-2, in Asia - in early December.
