Toshiba has updated the range of hybrid storage devices combining solid-state memory with a mechanical hard drive, with two new models 320 and 500 GB. Products include series MQ01ABFH, which are already present with a higher capacity drives (750 and 1000 GB).
An important difference from their new products more capacious relatives is reduced from 9.5 to 7 mm case thickness . According to Toshiba, it will use the device, even in the thinnest notebooks. The data is stored mainly in the hard disk memory, while frequently used information is placed in a solid-state memory, which amounts to 8 GB.
Deliveries of production models hybrid drives MQ01ABFH 320GB and 500GB will begin in January.
