Today, AMD introduced a new discrete graphics solution for embedded systems - Radeon E8860. In terms of development , AMD in 2013, featured this card codenamed Adelaar. What is typical, Radeon E8860 is the first solution for embedded systems based on the architecture of GCN.
Radeon E8860 is executed in the form of multichip module FCBGA with dimensions 37.5 x 37.5 mm, which is placed directly on the GPU and memory chips totaling 2GB. GPU has 640 stream processors clocked at 625 MHz effective memory frequency is equal to 4.5 GHz. Declared TDP is 37W, the speed measured by the value 768 gigaflops. AMD will offer customers several versions of Radeon E8860: MXM 3.0 performed with the support of five ports DisplayPort, as well as a PCI Express expansion cards with different configurations of the video output DVI and mini-DisplayPort.
