If in May AMD reported intentions to seek help from ASMedia to implement interface support SATA Express in its chipsets , now these rumors have reached a new level. It is argued that AMD may in the future charge ASMedia entire chipset development !
Discrete controllers from ASMedia company was among the first to implement support for USB 3.1. Parent company for ASMedia remains Asustek Computer, therefore closer to AMD could benefit from this manufacturer of motherboards. Cooperation between ASMedia and AMD aims to optimize the cost and time to develop the chipset . Note that AMD representatives declined to comment on the rumors, and it is quite natural.
