On Thursday, April 2, the Korean company LG has announced the launch of mass production of the new 5.5-inch LCD-display with a resolution of Quad HD. It is expected to be installed in the future smartphone LG G4, whose debut is scheduled for April.
According to Android Central, referring to the official press release LG, the new 5.5-inch touch screen has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (538 pixels per inch). In this case, LG has managed to achieve an increase of 50% contrast and brightness by 30% compared to conventional QHD LCD-panels, without increasing power consumption. And the company has expanded color gamut to 120%.
