ARM Holding this week reported on the results of the quarter, and some of the statements of its leadership allow us to judge trends in those market segments which are delivered with the same processor architecture.  Segars Simon , CEO of ARM, considered it necessary to note that the latest-generation processor architectures has steady demand  . In particular,    increased demand for processors with ARMv8 architecture enabled the British holding company to increase the average size of the resulting royalties, as modern processors are more expensive and profitable. The share of processor architecture ARMv8-A accounted for 35% of revenue in the direction of the Cortex-Axx.  Revenues from license fees in the segment processors increased by 37% compared to the same period last year, 40% of the processors used in mobile devices, 60% occurred in the other market segments. At the beginning of the year   ARM expected processor architectures ARMv8-A to the end of 2015 to be prescribed in 50% of new smartphone, in fact, the barrier of 60% has been overcome yet in the third quarter and by the end of this year, ARM can overcome the barrier of 75%.  The share of smartphones in the eight-processor ARM third quarter is estimated at 20-40%, depending on the sample.  In  future, according to the head of the ARM, the popularity of processors with eight cores decrease slightly, the same will happen with solutions using layout big.LITTLE, which means proximity efficient processor cores more productive.  Anyway, in sensitive market segments, the pursuit of the number of cores stops  smartphone manufacturers to be one of the priorities.  In general big.LITTLE have retained the capacity to expand the application.  Not every processor with eight cores should use this arrangement. In the third quarter  ARM partners have released 3.6 billion Processors, 20% more than the year before.  In the segment of smart card microcontrollers  an increase of 30% in the mobile segment - 20%, the same was the increase in the segment of network equipment.  One customer ARM began supplying specialized processor for use in base stations for cellular networks and, Qualcomm demonstrated a sample server processor.  By the way, the head of the ARM is not ready to give up ambitions to capture 20-25% of the market of processors for servers in 2020.
