Drones could be used effectively to deliver the goods, they will need to overcome a relatively large distance from a single battery charge. Meanwhile, the increase in battery capacity will inevitably entail an increase in the mass of the device and reduction of the allowable payload.
According to the site Engadget, a company called Intelligent Energy is ready to offer a solution: hydrogen fuel cells, which will allow drones stay airborne for hours. Developers promise that the items will be quite easy, and the resumption of energy storage will take less than two minutes, because they do not have to charge the traditional way.
Unfortunately, Intelligent Energy does not share specific details about its development.
