Originally it was planned, that the announcement of quad SLI technology  will take place simultaneously with geForce 9800 GX2, but later NVIDIA decided to wait another week in order to bring some optimization to its drivers . Nvidia promised  a increase in speed by 50-80% in comparison with single geForce 9800 GX2 @ resolution more than 1600 X 1200 in up-to-date games. The new generation of this technology use two video card geForce 9800 GX2, which distribute load according to AFR - each video chip processes its sequence. To work with Quad SLI , a motherboard on base of chipsets nForce 780i SLI or nForce 790i SLI, and also Intel D5400XS ( skulltrail platform) will be required.
