A few days ago, AMD introduced FreeSync 2 technology, which is designed to reduce delays in the output image with high dynamic range (HDR). Now NVIDIA has introduced the technology G-Sync HDR.
The presented technology, in fact, is the same familiar technology display frequency synchronization with the frequency of the video graphics adapter NVIDIA G-Sync, only with the added support of HDR, which is reflected in the title. For comparison, AMD FreeSync 2 technology is an extension FreeSync technology, and while the latter enables you to synchronize your video card and monitor, first reduces the latency of HDR-images.
On the creation of technology G-Sync HDR NVIDIA company worked together with AUOptronics panels manufacturer. Panels with the support of new technologies use the full 384-band LED backlight technology and quantum dots, and also have a wide color gamut with 1.07 billion colors (10-bit). Monitors with G-Sync HDR will receive full support HDR10 standard. It is also noted that one of the most anticipated games of the year, Mass Effect: Andromeda will fully support G-Sync HDR.
