With the appearance of RV770 video card, AMD obtained all chances to recapture some market share from NVIDIA. As reports associate, the announcement of radeon HD 48xx already allowed AMD to increase the market share for discrete card from 30% to 40%. According to AMD estimations , to the end of 2008 the company will increase its market share for discrete card up to 50%, and in 2009 it will be able to occupy a dominant position relative to NVIDIA.
