The radeon HD 48x0 video card (RV770 chip ) allowed AMD to recapture from NVIDIA a certain market part . The specific numbers was reported by the analytical agency jon peddie research.
The gain volume from the deliveries of graphic card in the third quarter in comparison with the second quarter in the present year composed 10,8%. However, in the annual expression the video card market demonstrated a reduction in the deliveries volumes in the third quarter by up to 15,2%. The increase in the deliveries volumes of video card in this year was caused by the low retail prices - following the release of RV770 , NVIDIA company was forced to reduce its prices.  In the third quarter , AMD was able to recapture the part of video card market from NVIDIA, after increasing its portion from 35% to 40% in one quarter. Related Products : | ||
