AMD officially reports that the 45 nm four core processors phenom II X4 under the code designation deneb will appear on January exhibition CES 2009, which will be opened in Las Vegas 8 January ( following year ).
We should recognize, that the passage on 45 nm technical process will not gives phenom X4 serious changes in the architecture.
AMD also described its plan on the development of desktop and mobile processors in the period from 2008 through 2011. Two desktop processor 45 nm four core deneb and Propus, which are characterized by the absence of cache in the third level .
In 2011 AMD it is going to present the first 32 nm processors, which relate to the new architecture : bulldozer. Orochi processors will have more than 4 core, more than 8 mb cache, and support only DDR3 memory . These processors can also include six-core, and the memory controller will be in three(triple)-channel.
In the second-half 2009 as change to th 65 nm griffin processors will arrive the dual core 45 nm caspian processors , which will preserve 2 mb cache and supports DDR-2. In 2010 AMD it is going to present the first mobile processors with four core, which will be also released on 45 nm technology - Champlain. It is interesting that the cache volume for champlain processor will remain equal to 2 mb., and here the memory controller will work with DDR- 3.
In 2011 AMD will present the first processors with integrated video core, which are united in the trade mark fusion. Llano processors will be released on 32 nm technology, they will obtain four core, 4 mb cache, DDR- 3 supports and graphic core with directX 11 support . The hybrid processors llano will be simultaneously used in the desktop segment and high end notebook sector . The first intel processors with the integrated graphic core will appear during January 2010.
In the segment ultra-portable notebook in 2010 as change to the dual core 65 nm processors conesus will arrive the 45 nm dual core processors geneva. In 2011 will arrive the 32 nm processor with the dual core : ontario ( built-in graphic nucleus ). These processors will obtain 1 mb cache and DDR- 3 support
Thus, up to 2011 AMD will supply only processors with shanghai architecture , whose first representatives were announced yesterday. We hope that the potential of 45 nm technology will be sufficient for growth in the core quantity and clock frequencies. Related Products :
