Since motherboards producers already in the following month will obtain the first processors models LGA 1156, the characteristic of fifth series chipset is briefly determined .
The announcement of four core processors lynnfield with Intel p55 chipset will take place in the third quarter this year . Havendale processors will obtain the integrated graphic core, but they will appear only in the first quarter 2010, simultaneously with Intel q57, P57, H57 and H55 chipset.
The fundamental differences between these chipsets are the possibilities of integrated video. Havendale processors with the integrated graphic core will befit from chipset with FDI interface support , which connects the processor and chipset. For this reason the built-in graphic core in havendale processors will work only in Intel q57, H57 and H55 chipset. The Chipset p57 and P55 will also support havendale processors , but the built-in graphic core will not be supported .
Only Intel p55 and P57 chipset will obtain the support of two slots for video card: PCI express x8 + PCI express x8. Consequently, they will support only the technology crossfire and, theoretically, the SLI technologies . Systems on base of havendale processors can also work with one video card through the interface PCI express x16.
The chipset connection possibilities are identical : fourteen ports USB 2.0, eight lines PCI express x1, six ports SATA, four channels PCI. The chipset H55 will support 12 ports USB 2.0 and 6 ports PCI express x1. Interfaces HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort are also supported by these chipsets. The possibility of simultaneous work with two monitors is provided.
The Chipset q57, P57 and H57 will support braidwood technology , which will become the evolutionary continuation Of turbo memory. The special solid-state memory buffer will store the frequently used information, and also accelerate output from the idle regime or initial load. Related Products :
