As reports the analytical agency iSuppli , the third quarter last year already allowed us to understand that AMD and Intel in this period could increase their market shares due to reduction of smaller market players   . In the third quarter global economic crisis already showed its action on the market for microprocessors, and to predict its further update was complicated. As reports associate, a new iSuppli study shows that even in the fourth quarter 2008 , Intel company could preserve the positive change dynamics in its market share in terms of money. In particular, for the fourth quarter Intel increased its portion from 81% to 81,8%, whereas AMD lost some market share, after reducing its presence from 12,2% to 10,6% of the market. Thus, for 2008 , Intel could increase its processor market portion in terms of money. Possibly, negative AMD dynamics is caused by the aggressive price policy from this producer . Other processors producers in the fourth quarter increased their portion from 6,9% to 7,6%. Incremental value in the quarterly expression composed 0,7%. It is possible to assume that VIA has continuous profit increase (due to Notebooks). In this year expert expects an increase in this market segment up to 68,5% . In the fourth quarter 2008 Intel could increase its market share by 3,4% in comparison with analogous periods previous year. Other processors producers  , with exception of AMD, within this period increased their portion by 0,1%. AMD lost 3,5% of market in terms of money.
