Yesterday's  news about NEC company  reported that the first devices with USB 3.0 support can appear already in the second half-year. Note, ports and USB 3.0 cables will assure reverse compatibility with devices, which support USB 2.0, USB 1.1 and USB 1.0.  USB type A, which in the version 3.0 obtained five additional contacts are  used only when USB 3.0 is inserted.  USB type B version 3.0 (left photo ) obtained another geometric configuration, which does not allow to connect  USB 3.0 cable to device with USB 2.0 interface. However, it is possible to connect a device with USB 3.0 interface with the aid of the new cable system, which has a USB2.0 types A port . Cable A- B generation USB 2.0 can connect devices with support of USB 2.0 and 3.0 standard in both combinations.  For the visual differentiation of USB generation 3.0 developers recommend to producers using plastic with dark-blue color.
