According to analysts , Microsoft company systematically loses profit due to the increase in the popularity of notebook, equipped with operating system Windows XP. Each license Windows XP home is sold to notebook producers for approximately $25-30; therefore, the profit rate is very symbolic. Sales of more expensive computers, with the more profitable Microsoft operating system versions, under the crisis conditions is slow. Microsoft Representatives in this case assert that the popularity of notebook does not conceal threats for the profitableness of  company business. With the release of Windows 7 notebook can be equipped with the adapted version of this operating system. As far as Windows XP is concerned, Microsoft considers its appearance on notebook one of the factors, which ensured the high popularity of this  computer class . Independent analysts, meanwhile, predict an increase in the cost of license by $20-30 upon transfer from  Windows XP home to windows 7. For Notebooks this increase in price is critical.
