We already reported about the new addition in PCI express 3.0 specifications proposed by AMD and HP . It was assumed that the final specifications of PCI express 3.0 will be published in June 2010. The world head of PCI-SIG reported that they study some qauestions, connected with the reverse compatibility and electrical parameters of PCI express 3.0 interface, which can require additional time. The standard specifications will be published in the second quarter following year, but the appearance of first devices with PCI express 3.0 support should appear in the middle of 2011. Developers hoped that products with new interface support will appear already in 2010. In the opinion of experts, the need for PCI express 3.0 introduction is not so high, but sooner or later this standard must be accepted. | ||
