Literally recently we reported that the 32 nm six-core processors gulftown will preserve compatibility with Intel x58 based motherboard , coupled with LGA 1366 socket.
Associates report that gulftown processors will be presented in the second quarter 2010, they will relate to the family core i7-1xxx. The existing motherboard on base of Intel x58 chipset will require only a bios update for the work with the six-core processors of this series. Intel is not assembled to release 32 nm four core processors in the first generation of technical process, only dual core clarkdale and six-core gulftown. Only in the fourth quarter 2010, when processors with the architecture sandy bridge will appear, it is possible to see intel four core processors , produced on 32 nm technology.
Tests made by our associate did not reveal the convincing advantage of the six-core processors gulftown above the four core bloomfield, with exception of cinebench r10 and synthetic test sandra 2009. Obviously, the existing programs cannot realize the entire potential of twelve virtual core. Related Products :
