Corsair company decided to independently explain how effectively thee standard cooling of core i7 processors with their use in high performance memory modules DDR3 standard . The obtained results in the opinion of company clearly note that the cooling is insufficient. The CPU temperature strongly grows due to the increased CPU VTT values , when appears loads on the built-in memory controller IMC (Integrated memory controller). Thus, with the use of processor core 7-920, cooled by the usual Intel HSF (radiator + fan), it was up to 11c hotter than with system designed for the work at the frequency of 2000 MHz (Corsair dominator GT).

However, using its own cooling system - Corsair h50 CPU cooler according to the data of company ensured up to 24C lower temperature with the same modules and with high CPU frequency. Faster and more productive memory, already beginning from 1866 MHz (with XMP support ) will make the processor heat stronger than usual, and the cooler will not ensure the adequate cooling in this case, which can lead to unstable work and (BSOD).
