The owners of motherboard aSRock p55 deluxe are ready to encounter devices, which support SATA-600 interface: producer applies with the motherboard a controller on base of Marvell 9123 chip, which works through the PCI express x1 interface.

Similar solution, in the opinion of asus company, has an important deficiency: the PCI express x1 bus first generation limits the data transmission speed to 250 Mb/s , and SATA-600 interface theoretically has the ability to transfer information with up to 600 Mb/s.

For this reason on its motherboard P7P55D premium asus company realized another solution, which allow to remove this bottleneck.

Here is the photographs of aSRock card with SATA-600 support . First, this controller is supplied in the complete set with the motherboard . In the second place, chipset Intel p55 is not announced officially.

This motherboard has two internal ports SATA-600 and one eSATA ports.

The controller Marvell 9123, according to the existing information, in the current revision has problems with parallel ATA support, but in case of aSRock card these problems do not exist .
