AMD company  has declared the  release of low power processors in the middle of May,  today we could not report that such processors can be purchased in retail. Now the situation has changed: in the Japanese shops  has appeared desktop Socket AM2 CPU with  TDP value equal 35 w. In shops three variants Energy Efficient  processors are noted: Athlon 64 3500 + (OPN ADD3500IAA4CN), Sempron 3200 + (OPN SDD3200IAA2CN) and Sempron 3400 + (OPN SDD3400IAA3CN). These processors, as well as their usual analogues,  use  technological process of 90 nanometers with  SOI. Their high thermal and electric efficiency is achieved by special selection of semi-conductor crystals and  voltage reduction  up to 1.2-1.25v.but  the basic functional characteristics of those CPU do not differ from usual. The Energy Efficient Small logo appear in the top of the package . Differences of their packing from  usual AMD CPU is  small: only small part  of the box  В« Energy Efficient 35W В»  simply added. It is necessary to notice, that the prices for those economic processors is a little above the cost of usual one. . So, for 35-w Athlon 64 3500 + the Japanese sellers ask completely not small sum of the order $250, and processors Sempron 3400 + and 3200 + are on sale at the price of $160 and $135 recpectively Related Products :
