Here is [ictures of the ati radeon x1950 xtx and the radeon x1900 xtx .first we should note that the pcb layout are pretty similar.with less part in the x1950xtx .we assume that this last card will be less power hungry .the good news is for overclocker it sweem that borth card use the same voltage regulator so the vchip core can be adjusted via ati tools .the mmory speed and voltage can be reported with wrong value
I really like the look of the new cooler, it casts a crimson shade onto your rig:
here is how look The back of the X1950XTX:
For the techies, let's compare the physical difference between the X1900XTX and the X1950XTX, X1950 on top, X1900 below:
Simpler PCB layout on the 1950 it seems, first this component is missing from the 1950:
A MOSFET on the X1900 is not found on the X1950:
A little less SMD components on the top right of the back of the X1950:
At the front, other than the apparent shift of the fan header to the end of the card, X1900XTX with 7 FETs:
X1950 with only 6 FETs:
All these are pointing towards a less power
consuming card. Overclockers should be rather assured, that third parry
tweakers such as ATiTool should work when it comes to voltage
adjustments since the voltage regulators are the same, if not present
versions, then updated versions. Testing in progress...
