Kingston company yesterday presented the sSDNow V+ disk on base of solid-state memory MLC. According to our associates, the supplier of memory and controllers for these disks is Toshiba company . The support of TRIM command is provided originally.
The new generation disk are presented in the models with volume 64, 128, 256 and 512 Gb. They have the form factor 2.5 inches, they are equipped with SATA-300 interface, and the serial transfer speed grew to 230 mb/s on reading operations and to 180 mb/s on writing operations. Energy consumption in the active operation mode does not exceed 2.6 W, in the rest state - 0.15 W. This series SSD can be purchased in the complete set with the adapters for fastening in 3.5 inch section, software for data transfer . This assembly increases the cost of SSD by $15-16.
