Systems on base of fusion generation processors from AMD company were demonstrated on the exhibition computex of 2010 in the beginning of June. Today appeared information about the design concept which will obtain these or other future AMD processors.
We start from the most expensive part of the desktop segment, four- or 8 core processors zambezi with bulldozer architecture. They will obtain the design concept socket AM3 second revision, which supposedly allow to install them in the existing motherboard with socket AM3. These processors will find support DDR 3-1866 memory and 8 mb cache in the third level.
Concerning the hybrid processors llano, which due to the integrated graphic core will require not only new design concept, but also new motherboard. The processors llano let us recall, will be used both in the desktop and in mobile systems. In the first case is provided the design concept socket FM1, in the second - Socket FS1 or Socket FP1, depending on the energy consumption class and form factor of notebook. The desktop versions llano will consume 100 W in the four core performance and to 75 W in the dual core, are provided three core version. The processors socket FS1 (uPGA) can consume to 45 W in the four core performance, to 33 W in the three core, and to 30 W in the dual core. The processors socket FP1 (BGA) will limit the level of energy consumption to 30 watts (four core) or 26 watts (two core). All processors llano can work with DDR 3-1866 memory, and socket FM1 motherboard on base of chipset hudson will use UEFI system, which will replace traditional Bios and add support to hard disks with volume more than 2 Tb.
Finally, the processors ontario with bobcat architecture, which will master the most economical segment of mobile market, is intended the design concept socket FT1 (BGA). They support the memory DDR 3-1333 and DDR3L-1333, the energy consumption level of dual core versions will not exceed 20 W, and the single core processors ontario can consume not more than 5 W.
