According to SemiAccurate, one of the reasons that forced Apple to abandon the use of Llano processors at this stage, is doubts about AMD ability to provide the required number of chips.
A few months ago, Greg Welch , Head of Intel Ultrabook, announced that Apple was not happy about processors power. According to Welch, Apple has informed Intel that if the latter would not be able to drastically reduce energy consumption, it will lose Apple orders.
