NVIDIA has invested in the development of processors with Tegra integrated graphics, promising every year a next generation processors. Intel is trying to counter the effectiveness of ARM-architecture with advanced technological processes and compatibility with a huge list of software. AMD is trying to squeeze out from its hybrid platform, the maximum possible, optimizing the x86-compatible processors to work in Tablet PC.
Texas Instruments company may seek a buyer for its unit dealing with the development of OMAP processor, compatible with ARM architecture.
Among the possible buyers of the respective businesses are mentioned TI AMD, ATIC and NVIDIA. The first company is betting on x86-compatible processors with integrated graphics core, and the ARM-processor unit ATI was sold to Qualcomm. ATIC owns Globalfoundries company may be interested in buying a unit Texas Instruments, to actively provide services for the production of processors for many developers who prefer the ARM-architecture. NVIDIA may be interested in acquiring certain intellectual property from Texas Instruments.
