While some companies like Intel with mixed success trying to gain a foothold in the segment processors for smartphones and tablets, others begin skeptical about their own capabilities in this market.
Texas Instruments Chapter admitted that the former lost interest in the market of smartphones and tablets, and no longer sees it as a few prospects for the company. According to him, the opportunities in this sector was much less after Apple and Samsung are engaged in active integration of all possible functions in its own processors. As we know, Apple and Samsung are the largest manufacturers of smartphones - devices that dictate the basic demand for new productive processors with low power consumption. Obviously, Texas Instruments believes that the current product line of the company will be hard to compete in this market sector.
TI head sees Prospects in sector of car entertainment systems and industrial computers. The CEO believes that this market segment will continue to grow for decades. Of course, this does not mean that TI completely abandon ambitions in the segment of smartphones and tablets.
