The Taiwanese company Asus has announced on 5 March a hybrid device combining the advantages of tablet and smartphone, and received the name Eee Pad MeMO 171.  The device is a 7-inch device with Super IPS + equipped with a rear display LED backlight, WXGA-format support (working resolution 1280 x 800 pixels) and secure with hot glass Gorilla Glass.  The operating system is Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) with the possibility of upgrading to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Also, there is a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor Qualcomm 8260, 1 GB of  DDR3 memory, 16 GB hard drive, a slot for memory cards format microSD, front 1.2-megapixel camera and built-in stylus.
