During February we reported about transmeta plans on restructurings its business : this company rejects the production of processors, decreased the number of personnel, and it intends to derive further revenues from sale of its own developments. During February the number of colleagues Transmeta was reduced by 75 men (39%), were mentioned intentions on reduction by 25-55 men and closing sales offices in Taiwan and Japan.
As reports associate, in the beginning of this month transmeta declared about another reduction with 55 colleagues, as a result the number of company personnel in 31 March composed approximately 65 men. . Four posts among the highest leadership were reduced, including chief technologist. In the current block transmeta is going to reduce its staff by 15-20%. There is opinion that Transmeta restructures business with the purpose of further sale of its active memberships to one intellectual property - IBM, Sony or Toshiba. Thus this information is not confirmed. Even if Transmeta does not plan to pass under the control of another company , in this purified form this developer can get hard time due to the lack of personnel..... | ||
