Intel decided to remove from the production older models to clear the way for the new products presented last spring. In the fourth quarter, Intel issued a notice of withdrawal from the production of multi-processor generation Sandy Bridge processor and Ivy Bridge generation.
Let's start with the older processor price segment. As you can see, the model Sandy Bridge completely disappear from series Core i7 in LGA 1155. In the series of more affordable Core i5 processors have survived only with the index P, deprived of integrated graphics, as well as single processor Core i5-2550K with free multiplier. The remaining space is occupied with Ivy Bridge generation processors.
Substantially was reduced the range of processors with low power consumption. In the series Core i5 Sandy Bridge generation now there is only Core i5-2390T. Processors Core i5-2400 and Core i7-2600 has generously granted the opportunity to remain in the embedded segment, where they will be transferred after 27 September following year.
Celeron lost a single model G440.
