ASMedia expects that in 2013 there will be a high demand for controllers for peripheral devices with USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt.  It is expected that up to half of total revenue in the coming year will bring sales of ASMedia controller USB 3.0. Lin Che Wei said that ASMedia will actively expand its range of products, focusing on USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt technologies.  In 2012, the company has sold about 36 million controllers USB 3.0, their main customers are manufacturers of external hard drives.  It is also noted that the ASMedia is looking for new customers, as well as potential customers :  Samsung Electronics, Toshiba and SanDisk company.
