Xeon 3500 and 3600 processors series for single-processor workstations leave Intel range .
CPU Xeon 3500, released in March 2009 , are based on micro-architecture Nehalem, Xeon 3600 - microarchitecture Westmere, is the development of Nehalem. The special features of Xeon 3500 are the presence of four cores, supporting Hyper-Threading Technology and Turbo Boost. In 3600 the number of Xeon core is increased to six, the cache in the third level has a greater volume, and extended instruction set with support for AES. Both series are outdated compared with a series of Xeon E3-1200 v3.
