Large manufacturers are moving away from the release of plasma panels, giving preference to LCD and OLED-technology.
In a segment of the television technology LG is betting on a LCD panel with a resolution of Ultra HD, and OLED-solutions. The latter, however, are obtained in about one and a half times more expensive than LCD products from rival Samsung, which is not yet ready to produce OLED-TVs in large quantities.
Basically, after the departure of Korean manufacturers from the market, the largest supplier of plasma screens will be a Chinese company Changhong Electric.
