The pair of four core processors core 2 Extreme QX9775 (3.2 GHz) LGA 771 witch cost $1499 will work in the composition of skulltrail platform  , which will be released at the beginning of 2008. We already reported about the speed  level of similar system,  with two overclocked to 3.4 GHz harpertown processors. Today there was new information about this platform. We start from the photograph of motherboard, which will be sold in the composition of finished systems. The general accessibility of this motherboard will not exceed 2000 copies. This motherboard is equipped with two LGA 771 socket and four slots DIMM, which support DDR-2 memory in the buffered modules FB-DIMM. Printed-circuit board has ten-layered design. For quad SLI support will answer the four graphic slots and the special chips nForce 100 from NVIDIA productions . With the aid of water cooling system the 45 nm harpertown processors succeeded to overclock up to  4.4 GHz. In the test 3DMark'06 the result was 20 354 points, and central processors collected 7562 points. Let us note that system on base of the single processor yorkfield overclocked to 5.64 GHz collects in 3DMark'06 more than 29 000 points, central processor in this case demonstrates 8819 points.   Related Products :
