Taiwanese publication DigiTimes sources confirmed earlier rumors that with the iPhone and iPhone 7s 7s Plus is another new iPhone will be released in 2017. This will be the first Apple smartphone, equipped with AMOLED-display. Supply AMOLED-panel for the new iPhone, as expected, will be the South Korean company Samsung Display.
In addition to two new iPhone with 4.7- and 5.5-inch TFT LCD displays in the next year we will also see another iPhone, equipped with a 5.8-inch AMOLED-display. Apple expects to deliver in the next year from 60 to 70 million iPhone with AMOLED-display.
The exclusive supplier of 5.8-inch AMOLED-display will be Samsung. It will be able to produce a maximum of 20 million panels for future iPhone. Sensors for AMOLED-display will supply Nissha Printing.
The publication notes that Apple suppliers begin to release the components for the new iPhone in small volumes in March 2017 and will increase production volumes in May or June. The debut of the new generation iPhone is expected next fall, a year after the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus output. Related Products :
