BMW company at the January CES show in 2017 even showed a touch holographic interface that requires no tactile contact with the dashboard ! Volkswagen Group announced its intention to adhere to the principles of minimalism in creating the interior and interface elements for future vehicles, including the priority given to the development of electric vehicles. Information and user interface elements will focus on the center console display, and projection displays will use elements of "augmented" reality.
The layout features electric vehicles will free up more space in the cabin, as the traction battery is usually located under the floor within the wheelbase. Furthermore, electric propulsion elements do not require such intensive cooling, as the internal combustion engine, so the front end is no need to provide a radiator grille. Many designers consider it a "classic" element of the exterior, but the representatives of Volkswagen declare their readiness to abandon the false radiator grilles in creating the future of electric vehicles. This can be traced even some continuity - the sign of the brand Volkswagen Beetle model was devoid of false radiator grille, albeit due to the engine placement behind.
