Associate reported about some gigabyte company product, which will appear in computex 2009 exhibition.  The most interesting is the motherboard with SATA 6 Gbit/s (SATA III) ports. Let us recall, during March , seagate and AMD company demonstrated this high-speed interface, which will be added in the desktop platform basic segment AMD pisces. The theoretical maximum exchange speed on SATA III interface is 750 MB/s, which twice exceeds the SATA II limit.  It seems that gigabyte company has chances to become one of the first suppliers of such motherboard with the new interface. The list of new motherboards, which are equipped with the SATA III ports, includes GA -EP55-Ud5, GA -EP55-UD4p and the updated version model Ga -EX58A-Extreme. Since there is no chipset with new SATA generation support , the listed above motherboard will include a controller from Marvell company . It allows to add four ports SATA III and six ports SATA II, supports RAID 0 and 1 configuration, and can work as port multiplier . Related Products : | ||
