Judging by the producers activity  , the market for SSD is actively enlarged. However, this market segment strongly depends on the NAND memory  , whose cost determines up to 90%  of SSD price  . As reports associate with the reference to the data of analytical studies, in the present year an increase in the cost of memory NAND types seriously slowed down the development of SSD market . Thus, if in the fourth quarter 2008 16- GB microcircuit MLC cost $1.8, then in the second quarter 2009 its cost grew to $4.1. The memory producers won from this , since the grown gain could in some degree compensate the drop in sales volumes . The volumes of SSD production in the first quarter 2009 were reduced by 18,5%. According to analyst forecasts  , price of NAND memory will return to the level of summer 2008 only in the beginning of the following year. Gradually demand will be revived. Related Products :
