Kingston technology company presented a new solid-state disk .This company begin the delivery of SSDNow V+ devices with up to 256 GB volume. New SSD is characterized by high operation speed , exceeding according to this index HDD. According to the producer, one of the basic SSDNow V+ applications are the modernization of existing systems. The declared maximum sequential read speed composes 220 MB/s. Depending on volume, the maximum writing speed is equal to 140 MB/s (model SNV225-S2/64GB with 64 GB volume), 170 MB/s (model with 128 GB volume) and 180 MB/s (model with 256 GB volume). In the regime random read (blocks size 4 KB), the operating speed is expressed by the value of 6300 IOPS, while in the write regime - 84 IOPS (model with 64 GB volume, $254), 158 IOPS (model SNV225-S2/128GB with 128 GB volume, $500) and 291 IOPS (model SNV225-S2/256GB with 256 GB volume, $992).
