Not so long time ago we reported about the release of the working models 45- nm processor intel penryn. These CPU already proved their fitness for work under different operating systems, including Windows vista/XP, Linux and Apple macOS X. Fab 28, which is constructed in Israel will release 45- nm processors . Representatives Intel organized stage on Fab 28 for our Israeli associates.

As reported (Maxine fasberg), manager Fab 28, new fab will become the largest enterprise for the production of microprocessors. Its industrial zone will have an area of 20 000 m ² (for comparison - the area Of fab 18 is 10 000 m ²). The first production will leave factory during March 2008, and at full power Fab 18 will leave to July 2009.

During the stage was the demonstration to the journalists of those working models penryn. Showed by (Roni friedman), the manager of development processors group in the research center intel in Haifa.

friedman reported that Penryn, designed by American engineers in collaboration with Israeli, passes now last testing stage. The release of 45- nm processors is planned to the second-half of 2007, as it was promised earlier.
