During IDF , intel company designated the announcement date of penryn processors . The first CPU, released on the technological process with 45 nm production standards , will be announced on 12 November, 2007.

Intel representative noted that the first announced processors will belong to high performance segment . In this case the processor will consist approximately on 410 mln transistors, had to ensure approximately 20- percent performance increase in comparison with predecessors.

Let us recall that according to the existing information, on 12 November intel will begin to supply the dual core processors xeon E52XX on wolfdale core and the four core CPU xeon E54XX with harpertown code name .

Furthermore, as we already reported in previous news , during the same day intel will presented the first 45 nm four core processor yorkfield for the desktop systems. It will become the Core 2 Extreme QX9650, which works at 3.0 GHz frequency with 1333Mhz system bus and having 12 MB cache in the second level .

However, the basic mass servers and desktop products will be transferred in the new 45 nm core in the first quarter 2008.
