An interesting concept was developed by four experts from California. They came up with a way to create three-dimensional interface for mobile devices that do not have stereoscreen. Requirements for the connection of the interface include the presence of an accelerometer, gyroscope, GPS module and front camera - all this equipment can be found in top-end smart phone a year ago.
The idea was quite simple. The camera monitors the user's eye, a system similar to Kinect, and the location of the sensors determine the position of the mobile device . Depending on changes in the direction of the screen - a software component in real-time changes the image on it: rotate objects, calculates the position of light sources and shadows fall, creating the illusion of three dimensions.
The application of present invention, according to developers, can significantly increase the aesthetics of mobile devices interface. In addition it can be used to create a pseudo-three-dimensional images and games.
