The French offered as a solution to sapphire disks coated with platinum using these miniature images. Discs with a diameter of about 20 cm from the two halves are glued together, the information previously applied to the inner side of one of the disks. On each disc can store up to 40,000 miniature pages with information that will need to be read by a microscope.
