Conductive polymers have a number of indisputable advantages over metallic conductors commonly used in the manufacture of printed circuit boards. They are cheaper and easier, more flexible, and are resistant to external influences. But their application is hampered by a number of circumstances technological nature, the main one - the original liquid polymer deposited on the base board.
Researchers from the National Technical University of Athens found a way of drawing on the board of solid polymer, without the need for a solvent.
It is difficult to overestimate the importance of this development. It allows to create a complex multi-layer printed circuit boards on various grounds, reliable and cheap.
