Intel company attempts to inject the technologies turbo memory ( Robson) both in mobile and desktop segment. We start from Computex 2007 , were many producers demonstrated product with turbo memory support . Finally, the 512 mb flash- memory are integrated on mainboard asus vista edition; therefore we should recognize that producers gradually follow intel initiative . But there are some general enemies for this technologies.  Some time ago , HP representatives stated that this company will not install the modules turbo memory in its notebooks. Actually, HP does not deny the effectiveness of this technology under specific conditions, but in most application there is no large benefit. For example, increase in operational memory volume always result in larger speed increase than the installation of module turbo memory with analogous capacity. Furthermore, user are limited in the volume of the preinstalled by producer module . Finally, external flash- memory is cheaper, and HP simply does not desire to increase the price of its notebook with similar technology . Mainboard producers do not see prospects for the propagation Of turbo memory in desktop segment. Actually, the use of this technology is justified only in systems with small memory volume , and the use of Turbo memory as preinstalled modules will result in expensive mainboards. If some one buys mainboard for $200-250, he will not economize on memory, and Turbo memory is simply not necessary in this case . As we already noted, larger memory volume will result in higher performance increase than turbo memory technologies.
