At CES 2015, which was held this week in San Francisco, Scanadu company showed two interesting medical devices that connect to the iPhone.
The first device is called Scanadu Scout and is a small device, which allow to find a number of physiological parameters, including body temperature, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, ECG and blood pressure. All this information is sent to the iPhone with the establishment of special mobile application that keeps these measurements and warns the user of possible anomalies and deviations.
More in 2013 on the site Scanadu Scout Indiegogo, dealing with collective funding, raised $ 1.6 million.
Scanadu Scanaflo company also introduced a device paired with a camera and set of test strips to determine the level of glucose in urine, protein, leukocytes, nitrite, blood, bilirubin, urobilinogen, microalbumin, creatinine, ketone, specific gravity and pH. The company said that they are currently working on updating Scanadu Scanaflo, wanting to add the possibility of a rapid test for drugs. If Scanaflo pass certification FDA, its deliveries to customers will begin this year.
